[origin: WO2021185571A1] The invention relates to a steam-smoothing apparatus (2), comprising a base (3) for resting stably on a horizontal support and a steamer head (4) which is supported by the base (3), the steamer head (4) comprising a treatment surface (5), on which a garment to be smoothed is intended to be arranged while the smoothing apparatus (2) rests on the base (3), the treatment surface (5) having at least one steam emission area provided with at least one steam outlet hole (8.1, 8.2), wherein the steamer head (4) is arranged in a projecting manner on the base (3) and is inclined in the direction of a front face of the smoothing apparatus (2). The smoothing apparatus (2) is configured in such a way that a smoothing of a garment to be smoothed is performed by manually applying the garment to be smoothed to the treatment surface (5) and by causing the garment to be smoothed to slide on said treatment surface (5).
