Volume reducer (1) for a gas boiler (2), in particular a hydrogen boiler, placeable inside a burner chamber (3) of a burner (4), the volume reducer (1) comprising a wall (6) that protrudes into the burner chamber (3) when the volume reducer (1) is placed in the burner (4), wherein the wall (6) is configured such that a gas mixture (15) flowing into the burner (4) is prevented from passing through the wall (6) protruding into the burner chamber (3).
