[origin: WO2021204414A1] The invention relates to a system for machining workpieces made of wood, plastic, aluminum, and the like, having at least one first clamping device with clamping jaws for clamping elongated workpieces. The system has at least one second clamping device (89) for flat or arcuate workpieces (87), said clamping device being provided on at least one workpiece support (88). The workpiece support can be populated with the flat or arcuate workpiece (87) outside of the system. The elongated workpieces can be machined while simultaneously the flat or arcuate workpiece (87) is clamped on the workpiece support (88) of the second clamping device (89) outside the system. After the elongated workpiece is completely machined, the workpiece support (88) is moved into the system and is positioned and locked, and the flat or arcuate workpiece (87) is machined.
