Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2021204462A1] The invention relates to a method and a system for producing a combed fiber strip (F), comprising a winding machine (W) with at least one combing machine, wherein the winding machine (W) produces a group of multiple lap rolls (1) from a lap strip (4) for each combing machine, said lap rolls being transported to the combing machine and provided to combing heads (20), and a combed fiber strip is produced from each lap roll (1), said fiber strip(s) then being stretched into a single fiber strip (F). The invention is characterized in that the deviation of the strip mass of the fiber strip (F) is measured, compared with the target strip weight, and assigned to the discharge length of the lap roll (1), and the draft and/or the tension on the winding machine (W) is adjusted over the winding length for the next group of lap rolls (1) using said data.
