Abstract (en)
The invention relates to an implantable electrode for a medical device, the implantable electrode (1) comprising an electrode shaft (7), an interior lumen (8) inside the electrode shaft (7) and an electrode pole (4, 5, 6) on an outer surface of the electrode shaft (7). According to an aspect of the invention, the electrode pole (4, 5, 6) comprises an opening (10) allowing a fluid communication between an outside of the electrode shaft (7) and the interior lumen (8), wherein the interior lumen (8) comprises a suction port (9) allowing to apply a negative pressure to the interior lumen (8).
