[origin: CA3173829A1] Disclosed is a sharpening sheath (1) adapted to receive a knife (2) to be sharpened or reconditioned, comprising a cavity (40) for receiving a blade (20), an access opening (10) at one end of the cavity (40), the sheath (1) further comprising, preferably in the vicinity of the access opening (10), an upper portion provided with a guiding device (54) for the back of the blade (20), and a lower portion having a sharpening device (60) against which the cutting edge of the blade (20) is intended to be applied when the blade (20) is inserted into or extracted from the sheath (1), characterized in that the sharpening device (60) is carried by an arm (7) comprising a first longitudinal end that is rotatably mounted on a base (3), the arm being returned by return means (8) in the direction of the guiding device (54), and in that the sharpening device (60) is rotatably mounted at a second longitudinal end of the arm (7).
