[origin: WO2022033873A1] In a radial press having a first and a second ring structure (2, 3) which extend around a press axis and having a plurality of pressing elements (8), which are disposed around the press axis and are translatably supported on supporting surfaces associated with the ring structures (2; 3), the axial distance of the two ring structures (2; 3) from each other can be changed by means of a hydraulic drive system, which comprises a plurality of hydraulic cylinder-piston units (33) oriented parallel to the press axis and distributed around the press axis, the cylinder (35) of each cylinder-piston unit (33) being coupled to a first of the two ring structures and the piston rod (39) of each cylinder-piston unit being coupled to the second ring structure. At least the supporting surfaces associated with one of the two ring structures (2; 3) are oriented at an inclination with respect to the press axis. An electromechanical rapid adjustment drive (51) comprising a plurality of adjusters (53) is also provided.
