Abstract (en)
The present invention provides a gas composition for use in preparation of a purge fluid for membrane oxygenation. In another aspect, the present invention provides a purge fluid generator for supplying a purge fluid to a membrane oxygenation device which has been prepared using the gas composition. In another aspect, the present invention provides a pressure vessel for use in in a purge fluid generator for supplying purge fluid to a membrane oxygenation device. The pressure vessel contains the gas composition. In another aspect, the present invention provides a method for conditioning the oxygenation membrane in extracorporeal membrane oxygenation using the gas composition.
