[origin: WO2021214208A1] The invention is directed to a chair (1) having a seat (4), a backrest carrier (2) and a backrest (3), wherein the backrest carrier (2) is mounted on the seat (4) and the backrest (3) is mounted on the backrest carrier (2), and the chair (1) is designed so that, when the chair is in a sitting position, a user can sit on the seat and rest his back against the backrest (3). The chair (1) also has a lean-on part (5), which differs from the backrest (3), wherein the backrest (3) is connected in a tiltable manner to the backrest carrier (2), and it can therefore be swung in the direction of the seat (4), from the sitting position into a supporting position, and wherein the lean-on part (5) is coupled to the backrest (3) such that, as it is being swung from the sitting position into the supporting position, the backrest (3) orients the lean-on part (5) such that the user can support his buttocks on the lean-on part (5).
