[origin: WO2021213993A1] The invention relates to a decontamination device for decontaminating personal protective equipment (PPE), consisting of an enclosure (1) including: - heating means (2), - an electronic unit (3) for controlling the heating means (2), - at least a first temperature probe (4) designed to measure the temperature in the enclosure (1), characterised in that the device is designed to be associated with at least one medium (5) capable of being humidified, the medium being designed to be arranged opposite a heating surface, and in that it comprises means for removing humidity from the enclosure (1), the electronic unit (3) being configured to, successively: - activate the heating means (2) until a temperature of between 55°C and 90°C is reached in the enclosure (1); - keep the heating means (2) activated during a decontamination phase in moist heat for a duration of between 1 minute and 30 minutes; - promote the removal of humidity via the humidity removal means during a drying phase in dry heat.
