[origin: WO2021214196A1] The present invention relates to a system (100) for connecting battery poles (101, 102) of individual prismatic battery cells (151) of a battery module (150), which system has in particular a capacity of more than 500 Wh. The system (100) has a first electrically conductive cell connector (110), which is designed for fastening and electrically connecting two spaced-apart battery poles (101, 102), and a second electrically conductive cell connector (120), which is designed for fastening and electrically connecting two further spaced-apart battery poles. Furthermore, the system (100) has an electrically insulating support element (130) to which the first cell connector (110) and the second cell connector (120) are fastened in order, by means of the support element (130), to provide a supporting structure for the first cell connector (110) and the second cell connector (120), wherein, for the fastening of the first cell connector (110) and of the second cell connector (120) to the support element (130), the first cell connector (110) and the second cell connector (120) are embedded exclusively in regions in the support element (130) such that surface regions of the first cell connector (110) and of the second cell connector (120) are free from covering by the support element (130). A signal line (105) is coupled at least to one of the first and second cell connectors (120).
