[origin: WO2021217189A1] The invention relates to a method for documenting the use of at least one implant (2) which is used in a surgery and/or the localization thereof, wherein the implant (2) can be provided for a surgery and can be used in the surgery. According to the invention, the method has the following steps: a) providing a surgical set (3) with a plurality of implants (2); b) capturing a first sequence of images of the plurality of implants (2) of the surgical set (3) using a device (1); c) analyzing the sequence of images of the plurality of implants (2) in order to identify each individual implant (2); d) optionally outputting a signal when one and/or each implant (2) is identified; e) capturing a second sequence of images of the plurality of implants (2) of the surgical set (1) using the device (3) after a surgery in order to ascertain missing implants (2); and f) classifying a missing implant (2) as an implant used in the surgery. The invention additionally relates to a device (1) for such a method.
