Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2021219847A1] The invention relates to a method for producing heat-insulating composite particles and to the composite particles that are obtainable by this method and to their use. The method is characterized in that, for the purpose of producing heat-insulating composite particles, a porous particulate material, such as, for example, volcanic rock, (expanded) perlite, (expanded) vermiculite, pumice, foamed glass and expanded glass, expanded clay, expanded slate, tuff, lava gravel, lava sand, is mixed with deagglomerated silicic acid, e.g. pyrogenic and/or precipitated silica acid, and/or with an aerogel, and wherein preferably the porous particulate material is coated with the silicic acid and/or the aerogel.
