[origin: WO2021219704A1] The invention relates to a method and system for monitoring a fire protection installation, comprising: determining a hydraulic state that is specific to the fire protection installation, wherein the determination comprises: receiving measurement data from at least one sensor in order to determine at least one characteristic variable of at least one peripheral device of the fire protection installation, generating at least one sensor dataset based on the measurement data, evaluating the at least one sensor dataset in order to determine at least one quality indication, wherein the quality indication indicates the quality of the at least one sensor dataset, and defining, based on the at least one sensor dataset and the quality indication, at least one hydraulic parameter of the fire protection installation that is indicative of the hydraulic state of the fire protection installation, and monitoring the hydraulic state of the fire protection installation based on the at least one hydraulic parameter in order to determine the protection readiness of the fire protection installation.
