[origin: WO2021224472A1] The invention relates to a reinforcing element for reinforcing a structural element in a motor vehicle, said reinforcing element comprising: a support element which is manufactured using a pultrusion method and which has a longitudinal axis which, when in use, extends substantially along a longitudinal axis of the structural element, said support element having a plurality of outer surfaces extending in the direction of the longitudinal axis; an adhesive for bonding the support element to the structural element; and at least one wall located on an outer surface; wherein the adhesive is located at least on the same outer surface of the support element as the at least one wall.
