[origin: WO2021228822A1] The invention relates to a flat fitting element, more particularly a room divider or wall covering, preferably an acoustic element, having a sound absorption region on at least one side of the fitting element for absorbing sound, the fitting element comprising at least: an air filter for filtering particles, in particularly viruses, out of the ambient air; an air inlet opening for introducing ambient air and an air outlet opening for discharging filtered air; an intake device, preferably a fan, for taking in ambient air through the air inlet opening to flow through the air filter; and an air guide for guiding the ambient air within the fitting element at least in some sections, preferably within its entirety, between the air inlet opening and the air outlet opening.
