In a method for carrying out the decontamination measures, during the execution of the decontamination measures, an operation of individual extraction units (20, 21) is adapted to an actual usage of the associated usage area (7, 9) by people (19), and a suction volume flow extracted by means of the relevant extraction unit (20, 21) is specified between a minimum value specified for the relevant extraction unit (20, 21) and a maximum value.
