[origin: CA3181800A1] The invention relates to a device for winding/unwinding a line suitable for transporting a fluid or transmitting energy and/or signals, comprising: - a spool (2) suitable for receiving the line in wound form, - a hollow through shaft (3) suitable for enabling the line or fluid to pass between a rotary joint and the spool, the hollow shaft (3) being rigidly connected to the spool (2) to rotate the spool about a longitudinal axis (X) of the shaft, - at least one synchronous motor having direct-drive permanent magnets comprising a stator with windings (10) suitable for being powered by an electrical, three-phase power supply and a rotor having the permanent magnets (11) opposite the windings (10) of the stator.
