The invention relates to a culinary apparatus comprising an autonomous cord drive device (1) and a work unit (2), the manually-actuated device (1) being intended to rotate a work unit (2) about an axis of rotation when the cord is pulled transversely to the axis of rotation A, - the device (1) comprising a drive wheel (4), a return spring (5), the whole being arranged coaxially with respect to the axis of rotation A, and a cord (7) having one end wound around the drive wheel (4) and the other end connected to a handle (8); - the work unit comprising a lid (21) closing a bowl (22); characterized in that the cord drive device (1) is configured to be removable with respect to the lid (21) of the bowl (22), and in that the lid (21) comprises a male part (25) or female part (26) connected to a drive interface (27) so as to cooperate with the drive wheel (4) by mechanical coupling in order to transmit a rotational movement from the device (1) to the work unit (2).
