[origin: WO2021249699A1] The invention relates to a self-retracting device for a furniture part (51) which can be extracted from a furniture carcass (50) in an extraction direction (4) by means of a telescopic drawer slide, said self-retracting device comprising: a carriage (6) slidably supported by a base body (5); a retraction spring (13) loading the carriage (6) into a basic position, the carriage (6) being slidable, by being coupled to a driver (33), from the basic position into a standby position in which the driver (33) can be uncoupled from the carriage (6) and in which the carriage (6) is retained against the force of the retraction spring (13); and a damping unit (22) for damping the sliding movement of the carriage (6) from the standby position into the basic position. The carriage (6) is coupled to a movable part (22b) of the damping unit (22) by way of an arm (23) which can pivot relative to the carriage (6) about a first pivot axis (24) and relative to the damping unit (22) about a second pivot axis (25), one of the pivot axes (24, 25) being slidable, and which is guided by the base body (5) between a rear end position and a front end position, wherein, when the carriage (6) is slidingly moved by the retraction spring (13) over a retraction path, at least in an end portion of the retraction path, the arm (23) is rotated about an axis running perpendicular to the extraction direction (4).
