[origin: WO2022122329A2] The invention relates to a suspension cylinder comprising a cylinder housing (10) and a separating piston (64), which is arranged therein in a longitudinally movable manner and which separates a first media chamber (67) from a second media chamber (68), and comprising a piston rod (34) which is arranged in the cylinder housing (10) in a longitudinally movable manner and which delimits a third media chamber (74) that is connected to the second media chamber (68) via a damping device (72). The invention is characterized in that the damping device (72) consists of two sub-components which, when viewed in the movement direction of the piston rod (34), are arranged one behind the other such that in one spring direction of the piston rod (34), the two sub-components (96, 116) take on the damping function and in the opposite spring direction, only one sub-component (116) takes on the damping function.
