[origin: WO2022002488A1] The invention relates to a gear unit (1) of a combing machine for spinning preparation, comprising: a main drive shaft (10) which can be driven by a drive motor (27) via a main drive wheel (11); a nipper shaft (12) which can be made to move in an oscillating back and forth rotational movement by a four-bar linkage (13) connected to the main drive wheel (11); a coupling linkage (14) which is connected to the nipper shaft (12) in such a way that the coupling linkage (14) can be moved in an oscillating rotating manner by the nipper shaft (12); a detaching cylinder gearing (16) which is designed for driving at least one detaching cylinder (17, 18), and wherein the detaching cylinder gearing (16) can be continuously driven off via the main drive shaft (10), and wherein the oscillating movement can be introduced into the detaching cylinder gearing (16) by means of the coupling linkage (14) and can be superimposed upon the continuous driving by means of the main drive shaft (10) in the detaching cylinder gearing (16), such that a pilgrim-step movement can be performed with an output shaft (19) of the detaching cylinder gearing (16).
