Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2022127987A1] The invention relates to a crop-harvesting arrangement having a transverse-conveying arrangement which is arranged in a cutting unit, brings the cut crop together and discharges it into a collection channel, by way of which the crop is transported upwards, by means of a feeder house, to the threshing unit of a combine harvester, wherein the transverse-conveying arrangement consists of a conveying screw (10) which is mounted in a housing and has conveying helices (11). According to the invention, at least one twice-bent strip (12, 12') is fastened on the lateral surface of the conveying screw in the region between the ends of the conveying helices, the strip being arranged parallel, or at least substantially parallel, to the longitudinal axis of the conveying screw, wherein the strip has a rounded or more or less rounded supporting surface (a) with a curvature adapted to the surfaces of the conveying screw, also has a second surface (b), which is angled in relation to the positioning surface and projects from the conveying screw, and additionally has a third, further-angled end surface (c) with a non-linear end edge.
