[origin: WO2022002416A1] The invention relates to a flap-type check valve for gaseous and/or liquid media for medical and wastewater technology, having at least three triangular flaps provided in a circular arrangement around the edges of a polygonal bore of a valve ring and having exactly the same number of flaps as the polygonal bore has sides. The valve flaps have an integrated joint on at least one of their three sides, which joint can also be made of a fabric. The other two sides of the valve flaps together form a hinge-like closure. The valve closes independently regardless of position and without external energy as a result of the backflow or return flow of the medium.
