Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2022008200A1] The invention relates to a method for controlling a motor vehicle which travels on a roadway on a present lane. Surroundings data is ascertained by a sensor, and at least one utility value function is ascertained on the basis of the surroundings data. At a specified point in time, the utility value function assigns a utility value for at least one other road user to different spatial regions of the present lane and/or of at least one other lane. A two-dimensional representation of the at least one utility value function is ascertained. At least one expected trajectory of the at least one other road user is ascertained on the basis of the two-dimensional representation of the utility value function, in that a pattern recognition process is applied to the two-dimensional representation. The invention additionally relates to a controller, a motor vehicle, and a computer program.
