[origin: EP4176738A1] A heating device and a heating system having a novel structure are provided. A heating device that can heat a smokable material included in a consumable is provided. The heating device includes: an air inlet; a housing; a heating element that heats the smokable material from inside; a chamber which is located inside the housing and which has a side wall surrounding a lateral surface of the smokable material; a first gap between an inner circumferential surface of the side wall of the chamber and a lateral surface of the consumable accommodated in the chamber; and a second gap between the housing and an outer circumferential surface of the side wall of the chamber. The thickness of the first gap is greater than the thickness of the second gap.
