[origin: CA3188777A1] The present disclosure relates to a method for manufacturing a solar cell, the method comprising, in order: forming a tunnel oxide (52) on at least one surface of a semiconductor substrate (50); forming a layer doped with a dopant having a first conductivity type on the tunnel oxide; forming a mask (56) on the doped layer; and doping, in a gas atmosphere (62) containing a dopant having a second conductivity type, at least a first region (66) of the doped layer using a laser.
