Schloss (19) einer Jagd- oder Sportwaffe (1) mit mindestens einer hebel- oder tastenförmigen Sicherungseinrichtung (10, 44, 60, 85) an einem Pistolengriff (9), die in Schussrichtung gesehen hinter dem Abzug (8) angeordnet ist und bei deren Betätigung mindestens ein Element der Sicherungseinrichtung (10, 44, 60, 85) deaktivierbar ist, um eine Schussabgabe zu ermöglichen und in deren unbetätigten Ruhelage mindestens ein Element der Waffe (1) gegen eine unbeabsichtigte Schussabgabe gesperrt ist, wobei die Sicherungseinrichtung (10, 44, 60, 85) als Handballendrücker (10) ausgebildet ist und an der zum Abzug (8) nächst liegenden Innenseite des Pistolengriffs (9) angeordnet ist und mit dem Handballen bzw. der Handinnenfläche der Schusshand intuitiv betätigbar ist.
