The present disclosure relates to the technical field of laundry and aims to solve the problems that bacteria are bred and odor is produced inside a wet cylinder assembly of an existing laundry device after a clothing wash, causing secondary pollution of clothing during subsequent washes. The present disclosure provides a laundry device comprising a cylinder assembly, a clothing treatment agent dispenser box and a water intake pipe. The inlet of the water inlet pipe is connected to the clothing treatment agent dispenser box, and the outlet of the water intake pipe is connected to the cylinder assembly. The laundry device also comprises an air inlet pipe connecting the cylinder assembly with the outside and a siphoning device connected to the water intake pipe. An air inlet fan is arranged in the air inlet pipe. The siphoning device is configured to discharge water in the water intake pipe when the laundry device is carrying out a ventilation process such that the water intake pipe is connected to the outside. According to the present disclosure, residual water inside the cylinder assembly is air-dried after a clothing wash, thus bacteria are not bred, odor is not produced, clothing is not subject to secondary pollution during subsequent washes, and user experience is improved.
