Anisotropic magnetorheological elastomer article comprising an elastomer matrix (1) and magnetic particles (2) distributed in the elastomer matrix (1). The article (10) is a plate formed by the elastomer matrix (1). The elastomer matrix (1) comprises a first layer (3a) with magnetic particles (2) and a second layer (3b) without magnetic particles (2), such that the article (10) is bent if a magnetic field is applied in a direction perpendicular to said article (10).
