[origin: WO2022017792A1] The invention relates to a cooking appliance (1), comprising: - a housing (2), in which a cooking chamber (3) is formed; and - a door (4) for closing the cooking chamber (3), the door being a folding door (4) which has a first door segment (5) and a second door segment (6) separate from the first door segment, the at least two door segments (5, 6) being directly interconnected pivotably by means of a first hinge device (12), the first door segment (5) being connected, at an upper door segment end, to a guide device (14) by means of a second hinge device (13), said guide device being disposed on the housing (2), and the second door segment (6) being connected, at a lower door segment end, to the housing (2) by means of a third hinge device (18), characterized in that, when the folding door (4) is closed, a pivot axis (A) of the first hinge device (12) is closer to the cooking chamber (3) than a pivot axis (B) of the second hinge device (13) and is closer to the cooking chamber (3) than a pivot axis (C) of the third hinge device (18), with respect to the depth direction (z) of the cooking appliance (1).
