[origin: WO2022069614A1] The invention relates to a method for operating an energy system having at least two energy system components and to an energy system. The energy system comprises a central control unit and at least a first energy system component and a second energy system component, each energy system component having a control unit and being connected to the central control unit. A first self-estimated value of the first energy system component is determined in the control unit thereof on the basis of at least one first state value. Furthermore, a second self-estimated value of the second energy system component is determined in the control unit thereof on the basis of at least one second state value. A current maximum power quantity of the first energy system component and the second energy system component is provided. A request for a demanded electrical power is received in the central control unit. A distribution variable of the demanded power for each energy system component is determined in the central control unit on the basis of the self-estimated values and the maximum power output quantity in each case. The demanded electrical power is then distributed to the energy system components according to the distribution variable.
