[origin: WO2022027203A1] Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to identification of an invalid reference device in device positioning. A method comprises receiving, at a first device and from a second device, at least one first positioning-related measurement result for positioning of at least one of a set of reference devices. The set of reference devices transmit respective reference signals for positioning a target device. The method also comprises determining at least one estimated location of the at least one reference device based on the at least one first positioning-related measurement result and a location of the second device. The method further comprises in response to a mismatch between the at least one estimated location and a set of locations of valid reference devices for the target device, identifying an invalid reference device from the at least one reference device.
