[origin: GB2610181A] A linerless label 10 comprises a flexible label substrate 12 with an aperture 18 through the substrate at least one area 20 of a first side of the substrate bearing a non-stick material 22 and at least one area 24 of a second side bearing an adhesive material 26. A transparent or translucent window material 28 is fixed to the flexible label substrate to extend over the aperture and provide a viewing window through the linerless label. The window material may be secured around the aperture to provide a sealed cover over the aperture. The linerless label may have two parallel crease or fold lines 34 to provide lines about which the linerless label can be folded. A reel of labels may be formed with the adhesive material of one label coinciding with the non-stick material of another label so that they do not stick together. A method for manufacturing such a linerless label is also disclosed.
