Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2022028825A1] The invention relates to a batch of spark plugs. Each spark plug (1) of the batch has a longitudinal axis (X-X), a central electrode (5) which is oriented in the direction of the longitudinal axis (X-X), a ground electrode (12) which is oriented at an angle to the longitudinal axis (X-X) so that a spark gap (125) is formed between the tip of the central electrode (5) and the tip of the ground electrode (12), an outer thread (4) for screwing the spark plug (1) into an inner thread of a cylinder head of a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine in the longitudinal direction, and an annular contact surface (60) which is oriented perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis (X-X) for contacting the spark plug (1) at the cylinder head. The invention is characterized in that in every spark plug (1) of the batch, the ground electrodes (12) have the same orientation with respect to a rotation about the longitudinal axis (X-X) of the spark plug (1) relative to the combustion chamber when the spark plug (1) is screwed into the inner thread of the cylinder head as intended.
