[origin: WO2022034216A1] The invention relates to a hulling apparatus for producing hulled spelt seeds, comprising a lower course hulling device, and to a method for producing hulled seeds of a spelt grain, wherein: the hulling apparatus contains two disks (40, 44), as rotor (46) and stator (42), which are movable relative to each other; at least one disk is drivable about a vertical rotation axis (38), and the disks (40, 44) enclose a flat, annular working chamber (48) between disk faces which face each other and are vertically spaced apart from each other, for receiving spelt products to be hulled; at least one of the disk faces has a surface made of a plastic material; and the apparatus (2) can be temperature-controlled in the region of at least one of the disk faces.
