[origin: WO2022033970A1] The invention relates to a clamping and holding apparatus (6) having at least one clamping means (12a, 12b, 13a, 13b) for a cubic or cuboid object (1) which can be fixed subject to a preload and which has a variable geometry and/or dimensions, said object having an end plate (4, 5) at each of two opposing ends. The problem addressed by the invention is that of making this clamping and holding apparatus particularly simple to assemble and cost-effective to produce. According to the invention, two laterally opposing holders (7, 8; 14, 15) which extend perpendicularly to the stacking and preloading direction (3) and parallel to one another are positioned or formed on at least one of the end plates in order to accommodate an associated holding rod (19, 20; 21, 22) in each case; the holders each project laterally from the associated end plate; in the longitudinal direction, the holders have openings (10a, 10b; 11a, 11b; 17a, 17b; 18a, 18b) to guide one or more clamping means (12a, 12b; 13a, 13b) which are designed as elastic continuous bands and are looped around the holding rods; in the preloaded state of the object (1), the holding rods are in force-fitting engagement with the respective holders (7, 8; 14, 15); and the end plates (4, 5) are braced against one another by means of the at least one clamping means (12a, 12b; 13a, 13b).
