Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zur Erzeugung und Speicherung von Wärme und Abgabe derselben an ein Gas, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sie ein oder mehrere Absorberelemente (2), die keramisches Material umfassen oder daraus gebildet sind und die im Innenraum (3) eines Gehäuses (4) so angeordnet sind, dass sie von einem Gas durchströmt werden können, eine Mikrowellengeneratoreinheit (5), die Mikrowellen zur Erhitzung der Absorberelemente (2) erzeugt und eine oder mehrere Gaseintrittsöffnungen (6) sowie eine oder mehrere Gasaustrittsöffnungen (7) umfasst, sowie ein Verfahren, das diese Vorrichtung nutzt.
