[origin: WO2022038242A1] The invention relates to a heat-sensitive recording layer comprising phenol-group-free organic color developers, to a coating composition for producing the heat-sensitive recording layer, and to a heat-sensitive recording material, in particular thermal paper, comprising the heat-sensitive recording layer. The invention also relates to the use of the heat-sensitive recording layer to produce the heat-sensitive recording material, to a method for producing the heat-sensitive recording material, and to the use of the heat-sensitive recording material in thermal paper applications. Because of its composition, the heat-sensitive recording material has particularly good recyclability and is highly environmentally friendly.
