[origin: WO2022042781A1] The invention relates to a combined road/rail wheel device (1) which is adjustable between road operation and rail operation by means of an adjustment device (3), comprising at least one wheel (4) which is driven about a wheel axis or is not driven and which, on its radially outer circumferential surface, bears a road tyre (6) having a tyre tread (7), and has an inner side (14) and an outer side (15) which faces away from the inner side (14), and the adjustment device (3). According to the invention, it is provided that the combined road/rail wheel device (1) furthermore comprises at least the following: at least one wheel flange (12) which is arranged on the inner side (14) and/or on the outer side (15) of the wheel (4) and which is connected to the wheel (4) so as to rotate therewith, and which is entirely or partially extendable by means of the adjustment device (3) between a radially retracted position for road operation and a radially extended position for rail operation.
