The air-water drone flies over an area in which the object (24) is suspected to be in order to locate the position of the object (24) using the air-water drone (20) by means of a sensor (22). The use also comprises immersing at least the sensor (22) or a further sensor, in particular of the same type, of the air-water drone (20) in the water (32) at the located position in order to identify the object (24).
