Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2022037884A1] The invention relates to a monitoring module (10) for at least one household appliance (12, 14), comprising a detection unit (16) for contactless detection of the presence of a hand (18) of a user in a detection space (20) provided for the at least one household appliance (12, 14). The detection space (20) is divided into at least two regions (22, 24, 26). The monitoring module (10) further comprises an evaluation unit (28), which is configured to determine from the detected hand (18) at least one feature of the hand. According to the invention, the evaluation unit (28) is configured to determine, for at least one detection point (30) in the detection space (20), a vector (32) of the detected hand (18) and, on the basis of the vector (32), to determine an actuation intention within a defined region (22, 24, 26). The monitoring module (10) is accordingly configured to output a warning signal (34) in accordance with the at least one feature and the determined actuation intention.
