[origin: WO2023115092A1] The invention relates to a frame assembly (3) for a firearm (1), the frame assembly (3) comprising: - an upper frame part (6), wherein the upper frame part (6) has a slide guide (12) for receiving a slide assembly (2), wherein the upper frame part (6) has a magazine-receiving space (8) for receiving a magazine (9), wherein the magazine-receiving space (8) defines a magazine-inserting direction (10), wherein the magazine (9) can be pushed into the magazine-receiving space (8) in the magazine-inserting direction (10) in the state in which the firearm (1) is used; - a lower frame part (7), wherein the lower frame part (7) can be pushed onto the upper frame part (6) in the magazine-inserting direction (10) and coupled with it; and - an arresting mechanism (13) for coupling the lower frame part (7) with the upper frame part (6). The arresting mechanism (13) comprises a structurally independent arresting element (14), wherein the arresting element (14) has an abutting projection (15), which engages with a form fit in the lower frame part (7), and wherein the arresting element (14) has an arresting projection (17), which engages with a form fit in the upper frame part (6).
