[origin: WO2022043472A1] The invention relates to a ventilation device (10) for an at least supportive artificial ventilation of patients, comprising: a device housing (12), a functional assembly (60), which is received in the device housing (12) in an operational position and which has at least one controller (62) as a functional unit, and an input/output device (40) which is arranged on the device housing (12) in an assembly position. The input/output device (40) is connected to the controller (62) through an opening (14g) in the device housing (12) so as to transmit signals, and the input/output device (40) is secured directly to the functional assembly (60) so as to prevent removal of the input/output device (40) from its assembly position away from the device housing (12) in a lifting direction (A).
