[origin: WO2022069177A1] The invention relates to a locking device (SpV) for a switch point drive (1) which is provided with an adjustment slider (14) and a hold-fast coupling device (9) for transferring a setting force to the adjustment slider (14), with a locking slider (16) and a locking piece (30) actuated by the locking slider (16) to lock the hold-fast coupling device (9) in an end position in the switch point drive (1). To reliably prevent switch point drive malfunctions, more particularly also in the event of unusual influences/loads, a securing device (SiV) is provided which is configured, in the event that the locking slider (16) moves out of a locking position (164) towards a release position (161), to block the locking piece (30) such that, when the locking device (SpV) is installed in the switch point drive (1), locking of the hold-fast coupling device (9) in the end position thereof by means of the locking piece (30) is ensured at least until the locking slider (16) has reached a predefined intermediate position (162). The invention also relates to a locking method for a switch point drive (1) and a switch point drive (1).
