[origin: WO2022233504A1] The invention relates to a fuse (1), more particularly an SMD fuse, comprising: - an insulating housing (2), which has a cavity (3); - a fuse element (4), which is disposed in the cavity (3) of the insulating housing (2); and - contact means (5) for the external contacting of the fuse (1), the contact means being electrically connected to the fuse element (4); wherein the insulating housing (2) comprises a main body (6), which has the cavity (3), and a cover (7), which closes the cavity (3) of the main body (6), and wherein each of the contact means (5) is disposed such that an inner portion (8) of the contact means, said inner portion being connected to the fuse element (4), is disposed in the interior of the insulating housing (2) and an outer portion (9) of the contact means is disposed on the outside (10) of the insulating housing (2), preferably of the main body (6).
