[origin: WO2022258532A1] The invention relates to a bipolar accumulator system (10) having two accumulator units (12, 14), each having at least one accumulator module (16), and a common control unit (20) for the two accumulator units (12, 14), wherein the two accumulator units (12, 14) are connected in series by means of corresponding contacts (12-2, 14-1) and the connection results in a centre tap (18), wherein the contacts (12-1, 14-2) remaining after the connection as a positive and negative pole and the centre tap (18) as a neutral pole of the accumulator system (10) are each guided outward via the control unit (20).
