Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2022069246A1] The invention relates to a method for producing a component (1) by means of additive manufacturing, wherein a polymer (4), preferably a thermoplastic, is used as the material for the component (1), wherein the component (1) is produced by layer-by-layer application of the polymer (4) in the molten state, and wherein, optionally, the polymer melt (4) is compacted by means of a compaction device (8) immediately after its application from a nozzle (3). According to the invention, the polymer melt (4) immediately after its application is additionally cooled by means of a cooling device (K) to a temperature of a maximum of 20 °C, preferably at most 10 °C above the melting interval (S) of the polymer (4).
