Die Erfindung betrifft eine Verdichtungsanordnung (1) zur Verdichtung von Wasserstoff, umfassend mindestens acht Verdichter eines ersten Typs (2), die eingangsseitig mit einer Wasserstoffeingangsleitung strömungstechnisch verbunden sind, mindestens zwei Verdichter eines zweiten Typs (3), die eingangsseitig mit dem Ausgang der Verdichter des ersten Typs (2) strömungstechnisch verbunden sind, mindestens ein Verdichter eines dritten Typs (4), der eingangsseitig mit dem Ausgang der Verdichter des zweiten Typs (3) strömungstechnisch verbunden ist, mindestens ein Verdichter eines vierten Typs (5), der eingangsseitig mit dem Ausgang des Verdichters des dritten Typs (4) strömungstechnisch verbunden ist.
