[origin: WO2022074156A1] There is provided an aerosol-generating system (1000) comprising an aerosol-generating article (10) for producing an inhalable aerosol upon heating and an aerosol-generating device (1) having a distal end and a mouth end (2). The aerosol-generating article (10) extends from a mouth end (18) to a distal end (16). The aerosol-generating article (10) comprises an aerosol-generating element (12). The aerosol-generating article (10) comprises a downstream section (14) located downstream of the aerosol-generating element (12). The downstream section (14) extends from a downstream end of the aerosol-generating element (12) to the mouth end (18) of the aerosol-generating article (10). The downstream section (14) comprises a hollow tubular element (20). A resistance to draw of the downstream section (14) is less than about 10 mm H2O. The aerosol-generating device (1) comprises a body (4). The body (4) of the aerosol-generating device (1) defines a device cavity for removably receiving the aerosol-generating article (10) at the mouth end (2) of the device (1). The aerosol-generating device (1) comprises a heater for heating the aerosol-generating element (12) when the aerosol-generating article (1) is received within the device cavity.
